Alex was mad / Lego Therapy

Alex was mad because he didn't get to play the PS3 this morning. I refused. I only have a two games, and they are either inaccessible for a 5 year old, or inappropriate or both as the case may be (note to self - I need to sell Call of Duty 4 and Madden 08 - BTW --- when is Gran Turismo 5 - the full edition coming out?? The Sony group are a bunch of greedy turds)
We ended up making a Storm Trooper lego fort by combining the pieces of his newly acquired Lego/Sponge Bob Square Pants' Chum Bucket Restaurant set, other random Lego Star Wars sets, and other legacy lego's.

Daily G Score #1: Haiku Fit Index - HFI

The Haiku Fit Index (HFI) is a metric describing the approximation of prose - or any text for that matter - to the strict rules of Haiku: Three phrases of, five syllables, seven syllables and five syllables. The HFI is calculated thusly:

HFI = 100*(Phrases / 6 + Syllables / 34)

An HFI of 100 indicates probable Haiku form - although the aesthetic value, not mathematically descibed here, could be abysmal with an HFI of 100.

An admitted weakness of the HFI is ambiguity as to what a phrase actually is. Although a phrase is open to intrepretation, most novice-level Haiku readers can quantify the number of phrases within an acceptable norm to the general population of Haiku Readers.
